Eén van mijn favoriete bands uit de topjaren 70 was de Amerikaanse groep Orleans. Vooral hun albums Let There Be Music (1975) en Waking and Dreaming (1976) heb ik toen heel veel gedraaid en ik luister er nog steeds heel graag naar.
De band bestond uit John Hall (gitaar), de broers Larry (toetsen) & Lance Hoppen (bas), Wells Kelly (percussie) en Jerry Marotta (drums). 
De naam van de groep was afgeleid van hun muzikale voorkeur voor artiesten als The Neville Brothers en Allen Toussaint.
In dit optreden uit 1976 kun je zien en horen hoe goed ze waren. Zeer muzikaal en met een prachtige samenzang brengen ze het heerlijk opgewekte nummer Reach, dat geschreven werd door John Hall en zijn vrouw Johanna.
