De Engelse groep Noisettes bestaat uit zangeres Shingai Shoniwa & gitarist Dan Smith en maakt allerlei soorten muziek op hun album Contact uit 2012. Van electropop naar bossa nova naar retro soul. Mijn favoriete nummer is Ragtop Car, dat juist meer country-achtig is, met alleen mandoline en percussie als instrumentatie. Het is een heerlijk opgewekt lied over het rijden in een cabrio en wordt lekker gezongen door Shoniwa, met mooie meerstemmigheid van de twee muzikanten.
